Happy Mother’s Day (a bit early)!

Quick update on my Mom. She had outpatient surgery on Friday to get two very specific injections (under x-ray for placement) for ongoing pain in her lower back/hip area. Even thought the initial surgery for the fractured vertebrae was successful, being positioned on her stomach during that procedure aggravated her arthritis & everything else. Recovery has been tough & slow. Anyway, her birthday is Tuesday, cards welcomed!

I am asking for the strength of the Frey family prayers for Emma Callaway who is 90. Emma is my brother’s mother-in-law, the Mom of my sister-in-law, Marianne. Some of you may have met Emma at Vanadium Village in Bridgeville where she lived along with my Mother before Marianne moved her to Florida to be nearby. Emma fell yesterday evening and broke the upper part of her femur just below the joint. She will have surgery tomorrow. She is such a dear lady, and I am sure this is very confusing for her to be in such pain. Please ask God and His Blessed Mother to watch over her during surgery and to guide the surgeon’s hands. Also please pray for Emma’s loving family who wait for a good outcome of this surgery.
